For established independent auto repair and auto glass shops

Your work is not the problem. Getting to you is.

I find where customers fall out between searching for a shop and booking one — then I fix it.

I'm Steve. You run the shop. I handle the website, Google, reviews, answering, and ads. One person. About thirty shops.

Why you got my letter

You were not contacted by accident.

I don't send this to every shop I can find. I'm one person, and I work with about thirty shops at a time. So before I reach out, I look at the business first.

01

There is demand for the work

People are searching for the services you offer in your area. That's the starting point.

02

You have a real business behind you

You've been doing this long enough to have customers, history, and a track record. That's important to me.

03

Your reputation is already there

You have good work and customers willing to say so. I can't create that for you. I can make more of it visible.

04

I found something I can actually fix

Something is getting in the way between someone looking for your services and choosing your shop. I think it's fixable.

So if you're reading this, I picked your shop on purpose.

I looked at your business, the shops around you, and what a customer sees when they go looking for the work you do.

I found something I believe is worth fixing.

I'm not looking for just another shop. I'm looking for the right ones.

What I do

Your shop has
two halves.
I run the
other one.

One half is the bay — the work, the tools, your hands. Nobody can do that part for you. The other half happens on a phone, before a customer ever pulls in and after they drive away. That half is mine.

Some people would call it a marketing agency. I would call it a second shop — the one where the phone gets answered.

The six steps

Every customer goes through six steps before they pay you.

From someone searching at nine at night to money in your account — that is the whole route. Most shops are good at four or five of the six and quietly losing people at the rest, and you never hear about it, because the customer who gave up does not ring to tell you.

Nothing broken yet6 of 6 working

Tap any that sound like your shop. Whatever you tap, everything after it stops happening too — that is why one weak step costs you more than it looks.

Does this sound familiar

You have probably said at least two of these out loud.

Not a scare list. These are the six sentences I hear most often from shop owners, and every one of them is a leak with a name.

We are good at what we do, but Google does not seem to show us. People ask for a price and then just disappear. The phone rings while I am under a car and I miss it. The shop down the road is not better than us. They are just everywhere online. We have a website. I have no idea if it actually brings anybody in. We paid a marketer before and never really knew what they were doing.

If two of those landed, the audit will tell you which one is costing you the most right now. It is the only part of this you have to read.

How it works

Three steps, and the first one is free.

No contract to read before you find out whether anything is even wrong.

  1. Step one Find the money you are leaving on the table I check your shop the way a customer does — Google, your website, the phone. Then I show you exactly where you are losing them. Free · a couple of hours
  2. Step two Fix the biggest leak I do not sell you a giant rebuild. I fix the one thing most likely costing you jobs — a new website does not help if nobody is finding you in the first place. First change inside two weeks
  3. Step three Keep finding the next one Once that leak is fixed I go looking for the next. Your shop gets harder to ignore, easier to trust, and easier to buy from. Every month, for as long as you want me

Proof

One real shop. One month. Real numbers.

An established glass shop in Oregon was paying for advertising that pointed at a website his host had taken down. The demand was real and he was already buying it. Every click landed on nothing, and nobody had told him. A month after I rebuilt it, the site brought him twenty-two quote requests, eighteen of them from unpaid Google search.

Plainly: that is a shop of his size in a town of about 22,000, and there is no “before” to compare it against because there was no website. I show it because it is the failure I go looking for, not because his town looks like yours.

This is what I send you. Before you pay me anything.

Not a checklist of things you already know. A report on your town: how many people search for your work, who they find instead of you, and where they drop off before they call. I do it by hand, and it lands in your inbox within a day.

Where the customer drops off

  • Searches “brake repair medford” and sees three other shops on the map.
  • Finds you anyway, taps “Website”. There isn’t one. Rivals have a price form that works at 10pm.
  • Closed after 5:30 and on Sundays. Calling is the only way in. Two rivals take price requests all night.
  • Your customers mention brakes 14 times in your reviews. Nobody searching sees that.

  • Of 10 people who call for a price, how many book______

I won’t guess these. Your three numbers tell us what one more customer is worth to you.

Illustrative. The real one uses your shop, your town and live searches, with screenshots you can check on your own phone. You can take what I find and fix it yourself — plenty of owners do. And if there is nothing worth fixing, I will tell you that instead of selling you a plan you do not need.

Pricing

Three plans, and I tell you what each one buys.

Month to month. You own the website either way, and you keep it if we stop.

For a shop that just needs its front door kept working Care $150/mo Hosting, updates, and the site looked after so it never quietly breaks. I do not pitch this one, but some shops belong on it. For a shop that wants more customers Growth $450/mo Your SEO, your website and your Google ads, run for you — and a growth meeting every month. Ad management is included up to $1,500 a month of spend, which you pay to Google, not to me. For a shop opening new markets or locations Scale $1,000+/mo Market research, a marketing and ad strategy for each area, and the website work to fit it — then all of it run as one plan.

The build is $500, and nothing on Scale. That is the only upfront number and there is not a second one.

About

Hi, I’m Steve.

Steve Vo, who runs Motr, holding his daughter at dusk in the Oregon mountains

I’m first-generation Asian American.

I grew up around people who built a business out of nothing — a restaurant, a shop, a service run out of the garage. Local owners are my people, and helping them is the whole point.

When you hire me, you get me — not a team, not a project manager, not a ticket system. One person who handles the website, the marketing, and the things you didn’t know were broken. One phone number. That’s it.
